Creative Arts

The new Bachelor of Creative Arts program will provide a truly unique interdisciplinary environment in which to foster the development of hybrid scholar-artists. It will commence in 2009 and will link into one degree program:

You can enrol in a cross-disciplinary combination such as Theatre/Music or Creative Media/Visual Arts or combine any of the four disciplines.

You can also enrol in a single discipline area and add another major from Creative Arts, Humanities or another faculty of USQ.

We will still be offering Acting and Stage Management Majors within this Bachelor of Creative Arts as well!

If you want to be a Film and Television, Drama, Visual Arts, Music or Media teacher, the new Bachelor of Creative Arts offers specific theory and practice opportunities so that Creative Arts teachers know what they are talking about to the students in their classrooms. To this, you may add one year of the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching (GDTL) through the Faculty of Education at USQ, and be out teaching immediately after completion.

The new degree will emphasise connection with industry professionals and best practice opportunities for our undergraduates. The Bachelor of Creative Arts will connect our students to the greater arts worlds in Brisbane and beyond Queensland.
