2009 Arts Tradeshow
A showcase of works by the graduating classes from the University's School of Creative Arts.
The evening will offer a glimpse into the research, processes and diversity of Arts at USQ.
The program will feature a number of free presentations from 5.00pm each day in the Judith Wright Centre including Creative Media documentaries, Visual Artist talks, exhibitions, jazz and classical ensembles and theatrical performances:
Octophonic
A free mini-performance of contemporary arrangements of jazz classics performed by USQ's jazz workshop ensemble, Octophonic featuring a trumpet, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone frontline supported by guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.

Classic Cuts
Enjoy a selection of fine classical instrumental and vocal music presented by talented graduating students from USQ's Music program. The free mini-performances will feature piano, violin, voice and flute.

Project B Exhibition
An exhibition by third-year USQ Visual Arts students. The works represent the culmination of three years' hard work, evolving from the disciplines of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and spatial construction. The students will talk briefly about their work on the evening of Thursday 29 October from 6.00-7.30pm followed by an opening of the exhibition. Staff and students will also be available for questions from 6.00-8.00pm on Friday 30 October.

Creative Media
Be prepared to be challenged and entertained by a diverse program of innovative productions on-show in the foyer. The short films, documentaries and animations have been written, directed and produced by the University of Southern Queensland’s 2009 Bachelor of Creative Arts Creative Media (Toowoomba) and Bachelor of Applied Media (Springfield) students.

2009 Theatre Showcase
An especially chosen selection of live scenes and video show-reels from the very best of contemporary theatre and cinema. Featuring the graduating Actors and Stage Managers from USQ Company 2009, this is an opportunity to be part of launching these young professionals into the industry.
Theatre Showcase will also be performed at the USQ Arts Theatre, Toowoomba at 7.30pm on Friday 23 October.
