Breez Finance Children's Festival

Each year, the University presents a season of cultural offerings especially for young audiences.

Past offerings have included theatre, music, opera, visual arts and creative arts.

A much anticipated event on the cultural calendar for children, the Children's Festival has introduced many generations to the joys of live performance and art appreciation.

In 2009, the Festival included:

• Spirits in Bare Feet, an all-new play about Toowoomba's indigenous history,
• creative arts workshops, and
• an exhibition of contemporary works by local indigenous artists

The 2009 season was sponsored by Breez Finance, Q150 and USQ Centre for Australian Indigenous Knowledges. The project has also received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland's Regional Development Fund - a Queensland Government and Toowoomba Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
