This poster presentation will outline activities which are currently being incorporated into the new course: EAP7350: The Language of Research, at the University of Southern Queensland. This course will enable postgraduate students from 2LL backgrounds to: critically evaluate existing scholarly output and to summarise scholarly arguments; and to communicate their own research in research-specific genres, such as scholarly journals and conference presentations.
