Academic employees

As the University will be closed on Tuesday, 29 December 2009, Wednesday, 30 December 2009 and Thursday, 31 December 2009, these three days will be deemed to have been taken as recreation leave (excluding those academic employees directed to work). General employees

Absence requests are required for Tuesday, 29 December 2009, Wednesday, 30 December 2009 and Thursday, 31 December 2009.  Employees working a rostered day off arrangement may take their accrued rostered day off for the month of December in substitution for one recreation leave day during the closure of the University between Tuesday, 29 December 2009 and Thursday, 31 December 2009.

Directed work over the Christmas break

Where services are to be provided over the end of year period, Managers should operate with a minimum number of employees necessary.  Please advise Human Resources in writing by Monday, 30 November 2009 of employees who will be directed to work on 29, 30 and 31 December 2009 and the days they are required to work.

Recreation leave loading

Recreation leave loading for all employees will be included in the pay of Wednesday, 2 December 2009.  This payment is recreation leave loading accrued for the 12 month period up to and including 20 November 2009.
