Habitat:
Any surface where ants can be found, though it also makes use of crevices under loose bark on trees in eucalypt forests.
Toxicity:
This species is not aggressive towards humans and is unlikely to induce systemic illness though it may cause local inflammation

Distinguishing features of this species are the partial constriction of the cephalothorax and abdomen into two segments to produce an ant-like body shape as well as the colour pattern on the abdomen.
