Right to Information and Administrative Access Scheme

Right to Information and Privacy Access Requests

The University’s Legal Office is committed to providing Right to Information and Privacy functions to students, staff and community members.

General Information

The Right to Information is the Queensland Government's approach to giving the community greater access to information. This approach applies to the University. The Queensland Government has made a commitment to provide access to information held by the Government and public authorities (which includes UniSQ), unless it is contrary to the public interest to provide that information. The Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) came into effect on 1 July 2009.

Right to Information requires proactive release of information under administrative arrangements. UniSQ has a Publication Scheme which provides the public with access to a broad range of information. If you need access to further information you must send a request for access. For further information please contact the Privacy Officer.
