New opportunities at USQ

The University of Southern Queensland has been ranked No. 1 in Australia for graduate starting salary for three years in a row and almost 80% of our students gain full-time employment on completing their degree. We are focused on developing industry-relevant programs and work-ready graduates and driving economic and social development.

USQ is a regional university at the heart of our community. We aim to bridge the gap in attainment rates between regional and remote students and metropolitan students; drive productivity for the regions; and undertake research with impact in key areas of focus, including space and defence, health, agriculture and regional development. Our community and industry relationships enrich the experiences of our students and provide the workforce of the future for our regions, which are on a strong growth trajectory.

2020 presented plenty of challenges for the higher education sector. At USQ, we have effectively and rapidly responded to these challenges, ensuring excellence in teaching and research continues and the wellbeing and engagement of our students and staff is core to all our decision-making. We will finish the academic year in a healthy financial position, and are proud to report significant increases in overall demand for student places. This, together with leveraging the national reforms for regional communities, affords us the opportunity to implement key strategic plans for 2021 and beyond.

Living and working in regional areas has become increasingly popular among professionals and academics from metropolitan areas, and with good reason. Our three campuses at Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield offer the best of both worlds, being close to the capital city of Brisbane, and also the rich agricultural, business and industry region of the Darling Downs, providing our staff with the flexibility of working across multiple locations. Join us as we go from strength to strength.

To embrace the immediate and longer-term opportunities, we are seeking experienced leaders for the following five key, senior positions.
