# Drawing graphs

### Important features of non-linear graphs

Key features include:

• $$x$$ and $$y$$ – intercepts - where the graph crosses each axis (as with linear graphs)
• turning point(s) (important for non-linear/curved graphs)

For example for the curve below:

• The $$x$$-intercepts are at $$(-3,0)$$, $$(1,0)$$ and $$(2,0)$$
• The $$y$$-intercept is at $$(0,6)$$
• The turning points are approximately $$(-1.527, 13.128)$$ and $$(1.527, -1.128)$$
