Use visual aids effectively
Using visual aids
- Use tools, e.g., PowerPoint to:
- add realism, visualise abstract concepts, reinforce main points, illustrate complex information.
- Don’t read from slides.
- Speak to audience, not visual display.
- Sequence and time to sync with talk.
- Limit to key moments.
- Allow time for audience to view and respond.
- Have back-up e.g., handouts.
