Grammar matters: form and structure
Avoid using first person
- In general, use the third person, he, she, it or they. This adds objectivity to your writing.
- Where less formal writing is acceptable, e.g., reflective journals, personal accounts, the first (I, we) or second person (you, your) may be used.
