As indirect objects of a verb
- You can use a noun as the indirect object of a verb.
- The indirect object:
shows for whom/what or to whom /what the action is intended
does not include for or to in the sentence
always comes before the direct object:
Jack (S) built (V) his wife (IO) a new house (DO).
