Simple sentences
What is a simple sentence?
It is a group of words that contains only one subject (S) - verb (V) pair (one clause), so it communicates one idea.
- The subject tells who or what does the action.
- The verb expresses an action (listen, run) or state (be, believe).
My brother (S) makes (V) his bed every morning.
The forest (S) seemed (V) dangerous.
