Make study an active process
Active techniques are better than passive
- Passive learning strategies. e.g., reading and re-reading lecture notes or copying slabs of text seem easy, but become boring and are ineffective.
- Active strategies e.g., changing the format of information: list into table; dense paragraph into list; explanation into flow chart or graph into table are much more effective.
