Adverbs
Using adverbs to show completeness or size
- You can use adverbs to indicate how complete something (a verb, adjective, or another adverb) is:
Around 100%: fully, wholly, totally, completely, thoroughly, utterly, entirely
Close to 100%: almost, very, virtually
Not very: partially, somewhat
- You can also use adverbs to show the size of what a verb, adjective or another adverb expresses:
Enormously: They have benefited enormously from…
Extremely: … was extremely successful.
