Passive voice with gerunds and infinitives
- To form the passive voice when using a gerund (verb functioning as a noun), you use the verb + ‘being’ + past participle
He enjoys being hailed as a hero.
- To form the passive voice when using an infinitive (to + verb), you use the verb + ‘to be’ + past participle
He likes to be hailed as a hero.
