Please note: Scholarships are only available for the McGregor Summer Arts 7 Music Retreats. Scholarships are not available for the McGregor Winter retreat.
The McGregor Retreats form part of the School of Creative Arts, USQ and are supported by the Friends of McGregor. Together, McGregor offer partial and/or full scholarships, pending the support available. Selection for all scholarships is made by a consensus rating of a panel including representatives from McGregor and other relevant bodies; this is based on:
- Location of student;
- Artistic potential and goals, and/or
- Degree of financial need for assistance.
Margaret Clifford Scholarship
Margaret was the Administrator and Manager of the McGregor Schools for 27 years. This Scholarship is presented in recognition of her significant contribution to the Schools. This is a full tuition scholarship.
Bunty Griffiths Scholarship
Bunty was the Chancellor of USQ 1990 & prior was Chairman of Council DDIAE 1971 – 1989 and a great supporter and regular student of the McGregor Schools. This is a full tuition scholarship.
There are also partial scholarships made available from the Friends of McGregor committee. These scholarships apply to tuition only and students from all classes are encouraged to apply.
The application form will be treated as a tentative booking and a place held for the applicant in the class of their choice (and accommodation held if required). Applicants are asked not to submit payment until the scholarships have been awarded and the amount owing can be calculated, if any.
Should an applicant be unsuccessful and still wish to attend, the Early Bird period will be extended for two weeks after notification of the scholarship results being made to allow them to take advantage of this offer. Please note all correspondence is by email so ensure that the email you provide is one that you check regularly.
NB. No retrospective scholarship submissions will be accepted if the applicant has enrolled and paid the full fee.
The McGregor School team would like to thank the above supporters for their generous contribution to the scholarships.
