The placement process will vary according to where you are located and which course you are studying as outlined in the Professional Experience Book (2019 book will be available shortly).
For the purposes of Professional Experience, a day is defined as being on site from 8am to 4pm. Any absences must be made up as a course requirement to complete the placement and ensure eligibility for QCT registration. While we endeavour to place students close to home; at times a lack of availability at sites means travel of up to 50 km to and from a placement may be required.
Before you can attend any professional experience placement you must have your current Blue Card or relevant Working with Children Check clearance and completed all required steps to request your placement online.
Refer to the Professional Experience matrix and Professional Experience calendar for your program to ensure you are aware of your scheduled placement dates and have made any required leave arrangements.
