Follow these steps before lodging your appeal.
How to lodge a non-academic appeal
Prior to lodging a non-academic appeal, you must demonstrate you have engaged in either a consultation or informal resolution process. You need to demonstrate that you have (as applicable):
- checked with the decision maker that no administrative error has occurred
- discussed with the decision maker the grounds upon which you consider the decision is incorrect or your penalty is excessive.

If the consultation and informal resolution process does not resolve the matter, you have the option of lodging a non-academic appeal in line with USQ’s Student Complaint and Appeal Policy and Non-Academic Appeal Procedure.

If you believe you have grounds for an appeal, you can lodge it using USQ’s Non-Academic Appeal Form. Remember to submit this to the Secretary of the Non-Academic Appeals Committee via email at non-academicappeals@usq.edu.au within 20 USQ business days of:
- receipt of advice or notice upon which you intend to appeal
- within other legislative timeframe requirements as applicable.
