Simon Playford, Head of Bolter, the law firm for startups, is joining this session to share what you need to know about setting up your business legally. We’ll be talking company structures (such as sole traders, partnerships and companies) as well as agreements and contracts.

This Zoom series addresses what you need to know about working for yourself as a freelancer or consultant – everything from legal and accounting to marketing and client relations. Each session will end with a Q&A and you are invited to submit your questions, so make sure you come ready to participate!

The series will be hosted by Phoebe Tully, USQ’s Senior Project Coordinator (Entrepreneurship), who has worked as a freelance consultant herself for 10 years. Her background is particularly in copywriting and project management. She will also be joined by industry experts on the topics of accounting and legal. This is an unmissable series for anyone who is looking to freelance, consult or build a portfolio career.
