This workshop is designed to help teachers teach psychological research skills in the context of the fourth mandatory practicals in the Queensland syllabus involving learning stereotypes.
Mandatory Practical 4: Stereotypes
This workshop is the one of four available professional development workshops that is designed to help teachers teach psychological research skills in the context of one of the four mandatory practicals in the Queensland syllabus.
Each workshop involves:
- Running the practical
- Explanations of the thinking and decision processes associated with doing the practical and teaching research skills
- Giving hands on experience in using Microsoft Excel to record, manage, and manipulate data
- Presenting graphical data summaries; and to use accessible statistical packages to analyse data.
At the end of the workshop you will have access to all the materials required to run the practical in your classroom, background readings, and resources for teaching psychological research skills in your classroom. The workshop will be run in three locations.
