About the Workshop
Did you every play make believe as a child? Do you wish you could now? You can. The world of design for stage and screen is a creative sandbox where you get to make the rules. Madeleine Barlow will guide you through a streamlined design process, taking a short text from concept to centre-stage. This workshop aims to embrace both the individual and collaborative nature of design. Participants will be able to work individually or in groups to realise their unique visions, engaging in structured feedback sessions, to see their ideas through different eyes. Participants will ideally leave with both a rendered costume sketch and small to-scale model piece, representative of this streamlined 'design process'. The emphasis of this workshop, however, remains on the creative journey, not the final image.
