Food science, different by design

Find out why some foods and drinks are perfectly paired but we turn our nose up at others in the August edition of "Did you know?' community talks.
19 AUG 2021
5.30 PM - 6.30 PM
Queensland College of Wine Tourism, 22 Caves Road, Stanthorpe

The theme of Science Week this year is Food science, different by design and Dr Polly Burey, Senior Lecturer (Food Science) and Ursula Kennedy, Lecturer (Wine Science) will look at the science behind perfect food and drink pairings.

How can we use this information to create delicious and tempting taste combinations?

The live audience at this talk will be able to conduct experiments and tastings along with Polly and Ursula.

We will attempt to cater to any dietary requirements however there may not be substitutes for all activities.

For those joining us on Zoom, if you register your postal address by 5 August, we will send you an activity pack, and combined with some common items from your pantry, you will be able to follow along from your own home..
