Model for continuous improvement

Project Zero is a dynamic safety management system that continually adapts to "world's best practice" and the changing strategic focus of the University. The steps in the model underpin all safety actions within USQ.

The Model for Continuous Improvement illustrates the basic and ongoing process that must be applied to all elements of the Workplace Health and Safety Management System. The success of Project Zero will depend on:

  • clear and succinct policies and plans that include all elements of the SMS,
  • a planning process that ensures all elements are considered,
  • the actual implementation of each element in accordance with USQ policies,
  • the evaluation of each element to ensure effectiveness, and
  • the review of the process on a regular basis.
