PRIMARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLING GRADUATE
MASTERS OF EDUCATION (SPECIAL EDUCATION)
MUM OF TWO.
INSPIRATION TO MANY
After a gap year working in retail, I couldn’t wait to go to uni. I first started with a degree in music, but quickly realised it wasn’t for me.
I’d always enjoyed working with children and had that drive to be a teacher, so it was an obvious choice to transfer to a degree in Education.
Constantly striving for perfection in my studies led to an ongoing fear of not excelling … but there was always a lot of encouragement and support on hand from family and my lecturers at USQ.
Since graduating with distinction, I’m a teacher and a curriculum differentiation coach. I work part-time, have two small children and am studying my Masters of Education in Special Education at USQ.
For me, you can never stop learning and that’s one thing that has really driven me. There’s just so much out there.
