Most of us spend too much time on the last twenty-four hours and too little on the last six thousand years. ~ William and Ariel Durant
Historians will argue that you can’t know your future if you have no knowledge of your past. This Salon session will look back at our experiences with both trends and technologies we aimed to leverage to enhance online digital learning at USQ. We will also discuss ways we have strategically aimed to influence a culture of innovation at USQ through the USQ hallmark – Technology Demonstrators and Hub for Immersive and Virtual Experiences (HIVE) programs. How did we do and how are we travelling? Finally this session will gaze forward at emerging ideas and trends as well as new technologies that could very well make a significant difference to how we learn and teach.
While the future may never be certain, that each one of us have a role in shaping our educational future, is an invitation we can all embrace.
