The USQ Malaysian Alumni Gala Dinner, held at The Mandarin Oriental on 2 June, gave guests the opportunity to meet University officials and connect with international USQ chapter members, special guests, graduating students, and USQ alumni from Malaysia and other international locations.
USQ Chancellor Mr John Dornbusch, who attended the gala dinner, said the event was a great way to celebrate the achievements of the University with many of its international alumni and special guests.
“Malaysia is USQ’s largest overseas alumni base with more than 7500 alumni located there,” Mr Dornbusch said.
“Events like this in Kuala Lumpur allow the University to celebrate student success, strengthen USQ’s global network, and create further opportunities for alumni to be involved as international ambassadors for USQ.”
Speakers at the gala dinner included Vice-Chancellor of SEGi University Professor Patrick Kee, who gave a keynote address on the need to develop the skills and experience to be future-ready.
USQ’s own Executive Dean of Business, Education, Law and Arts Professor Barbara de la Harpe delivered a presentation to guests on the topic of entrepreneurship and its relevance in the future job market.
USQ has proudly graduated more than 100,000 students from 146 countries worldwide and is committed to building lifelong connections by continuing to celebrate and engage alumni.
