High schoolers gain insight into life after school

About 100 students from across the region participated in hands-on activities based on their career interests and got a taste of university life.

While deciding between becoming an engineer, pilot or nurse, Year 11 and 12 students were encouraged to explore different career paths when they visited USQ's Springfield campus last week.

About 100 students from across the region participated in hands-on activities based on their career interests and got a taste of university life.

Student Experience Day aimed to improve students' understanding of their post-school options so they can make informed decisions about their future.

The students explored a range of career fields, including aviation, law, psychology, nursing, education, information technology, engineering, marketing, media and business.

Schools involved included Redbank Plains State High School, St Mary’s College Ipswich, Faith Lutheran College and Boonah SHS.
