A piece rarely put on public display, Rick Amor’s Holland Tunnel Breathe Tower NYC captures and immortalises the everyday through the beauty of watercolour.

Melbourne-born Amor studied at the Caulfield Institute of Technology and the National Gallery School in Melbourne, before going on to establish himself as a painter, printmaker and political cartoonist.

Amor has several awards to his name, most notably named the Australian War Memorial official war artist in 1999. Amor's work is in numerous public and private collections, including the Queensland Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Amor is a sentinel guardian keeping watch on the landscape.
