The research seeks to explore the relationships between Climate Change and Bushfires in Queensland and what impact they will have on the emergency sectors response workforce. Future climate forecasts are predicted to increase the possibility of unprecedented bushfire events and fundamentally change the nature of bushfire seasons. The focus of the research is to explore the connection between these changes and the operational human resource capacity and capability of the Queensland emergency sector to respond to them. The result of this exploration will allow threats and opportunities to be identified and subsequently develop means to mitigate or capitalize on the changes.
