The stated vision of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) is “Delivering safe and secure communities through innovation, collaboration and best practice”. This vision is underpinned by four strategic objectives which are Stop Crime, Make the Community Safer, Strengthen Relationships with the Community and Equip our Workforce for the Future.
Critical to the QPS’s ability to achieve these goals are the Detective Sergeants and Detective Senior Sergeants performing Investigative Coordinator roles in the QPS (Leading, supervising and managing the plain clothes investigative workforce).
This Master of Professional Studies (Research) (MPSR) project is focussed on identifying the knowledge, skills, attributes and experiences desired of Investigative Coordinators and Developing and Implementing specific Investigative Coordinator Training for the QPS.
