The final report of the Royal Commission into Australian financial services misconduct reported in February 2019. The commissioner outlined ten recommendations which put ongoing pressures on the financial advice industry, through focusing on providing quality advice for clients and ensuring advice businesses keep profitable at the same time. This study aims to investigate the impact of the recommendations on the profitability of financial advice industry and provide insights into the challenges and opportunities that financial advisers may consider for the delivery of their advice post Hayne Royal Commission.
