This presentation will open a discussion on such issues and examine potential ethical parameters that should underpin (at least for older people) smart home, robot, telecare, telehealth or assistive technology product or service design. It will touch on particular obligations (perhaps ‘imperatives’) around such matters as usability by older people (or others), control, privacy, and intrusiveness.
