‘Tales from the Suburban Garden’ Constructing Community Cohesion through Horticultural Practice.
This practice-led research project culminating with the development of sustainable garden plots, situated within a private boundary and a public space, that being the council verge, proposes to foster an altruistic process of engagement with my neighbours and others in the broader suburban community. The primary objective and artistic visual will be demonstrated through the mode of sharing garden produce and or products yielded from plant life, gathered from the established garden plot. The work is a participatory exercise with intention to create connectiveness that extends to neighbours sharing with each other for the purpose of constructing regard that reaches beyond one garden to permeate the community as a whole.
