With the understanding that successful settlement outcomes are illustrative of where the hopes of humanitarian entrants and asylum seekers are realised in terms of the hosting government’s and service providers’ criteria, this study will focus on the lived experiences of adult pre-literate refugee women resettling in Toowoomba and Brisbane regions of Australia. The study will investigate the pre- and post-migration challenges that the women have faced and discuss how these challenges have impacted their attainment of successful settlement outcomes.
