The profile of Indigenous Knowledges has greatly increased across varying local and globalised contexts over the past few decades, and its legitimacy as a concept and as a potential solution to contemporary problems is gaining more acknowledgement and recognition. The University of Southern Queensland has made some affordances for Indigenous Knowledges in the past, however, its ‘state’ and ‘place’ moving into an what is an uncertain future has yet to be fully determined. This paper will seek to explore the current state of Indigenous Knowledges at the University of Southern Queensland through qualitative interviews with key stakeholders, and as a result, will seek to provide a series of recommendations for further developing, maintaining, teaching and protecting Indigenous Knowledges at USQ.
