This workshop, facilitated by Dr Douglas Eacersall (Lecturer and Learning Advisor, HDR), will provide HDR students with the necessary skills and information to present their research confidently for occasions, such as, Confirmation of Candidature, academic conferences and symposia, and research presentation competitions.
As a Lecturer and Learning Advisor (HDR), Dr Douglas Eacersall provides advice to Higher Degree by Research students in the areas of managing supervisory relationships, critical thinking and reading, organising and synthesising information, presenting research, negotiating confirmation of candidature and academic writing. He collaborates with the Graduate Research School, the Research Support Team and Faculty research coordinators to develop and deliver research training experiences for HDR students. His areas of research include higher education, research training and development, technology enhanced learning and researcher identities. He also convenes the Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher Symposiums and the USQ Research and Writing League.
