The Dean of the Graduate Research School will discuss the thesis by publication procedure , whereby the thesis includes a series of published papers. The thesis by publication option provides a pathway for candidates to foster and demonstrate their publishing capabilities. It can also assist existing academics to achieve doctoral status while undertaking the publication requirements of their current role. This webinar will explore the thesis by publication pathway, discussing benefits and potential issues. The Dean will outline the importance of having awareness of the publication policies of commercial academic publishers, and the implications for completion and submission of the thesis. Professor Terry will provide guidance to HDR students travelling down, or considering, this pathway.
