The role of mobile health technologies in the management of chronic health conditions specifically in Type 2 Diabetes is growing. However, currently, no reliable mechanism exists to identify and validate the rapidly evolving technology solutions which put a patient’s safety and reaching of desired outcome at risk. Therefore, the proposed timely systematic review study aims to summarize how currently available mobile health technologies in Australia impact the self-management outcomes of Type 2 Diabetes patients. Given the study is proposed to conduct based on the current chronic care model, there is possibility of identifying current missing technology features which can be useful for future innovations and enhancing existing mobile health technologies.
