Here at the University of Southern Queensland we want our HDR students to get off to a good start in their research studies. It is important that you are aware of the support services available to you from the Graduate Research School and key university support services. Orientation will also provide you with an overview of your responsibilities as a HDR student. Having this knowledge will best equip you to succeed through your research studies.
During our orientation sessions we will discuss:
- The Graduate Research School
- HDR candidate progression and key milestones
- Financial support
- Online communities
- Professional development
- Conducting research
- Support services
- Internship and career support for HDR students
In Semester 1 and 2, the GRS hosts an orientation session as a part of the whole of university orientation program. These sessions are recorded. If you cannot attend in real time, the GRS highly recommends that you view the recording.
