Right to Information and Administrative Access Scheme

Administrative Access Scheme

The Administrative Access Scheme allows access to routine information, held by USQ, without the need for a formal application under the Right to Information Act 2009 or the Information Privacy Act 2009.

The University recognises the need to provide its Students and Employees and the public with access to information, through a streamlined administrative process that is an alternative to the regulated or legislative process. This routine release of information is consistent with the pro-disclosure principles in the RTI Act and the 'push model' of information disclosure adopted by the Queensland Government.

Anyone can apply for information, however, there is no guarantee that access will be given. Any information, irrespective of format, may be accessed under the scheme. In certain circumstances, the University may expunge some information before providing it.

Reference material

Under the existing USQ Administrative Access Scheme students and employees can access, under supervision, their own student or employee file while other information held by the University may be accessible by the public.
