Taylor Family Rural and Remote Scholarship

In 2024, UniSQ will offer one Taylor Family Rural and Remote Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in a bachelor's degree program.

The Taylor Family, in recognition of the challenges faced by rural and remote students in their first year at university, have provided a gift to establish a scholarship to support students during their first year of study.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in two instalments.

Applicants must:

be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
be from a medium rural or remote area within Australia
be a commencing student
be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in a bachelor's degree program in Study Period 1 2024 (e.g., Trimester 1 2024).

Applicants must:

address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
- what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
- how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
- your prior education and/or business achievements.
provide evidence to show you have a permanent address in, or have relocated to study from a medium rural or remote area (MM4 - MM7) within Australia according to the Modified Monash Model 2019.
provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

*Extra consideration will be given to applicants who:

have a permanent address in an area that has been declared a disaster area within the last two years
are primary producers or their immediate family members.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
