USQ Community Award

Applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand Citizen residing permanently in Australia and studying on-campus, external or online; OR
• be an International student studying on-campus at any USQ campus
• be continuing their studies at USQ in an associate degree or a bachelor's degree in Semester 1 2021   
• be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in the semester the scholarship is awarded (full-time award); or
• be enrolled in 1 or 2 study units in the semester the scholarship is awarded (part-time award)
• be enrolled in a minimum of 1 USQ study unit (for students undertaking cross-institutional studies)
• have a current USQ Grade Point Average(GPA) of at least 5.0
• be involved in USQ community activities 

Previous recipients of this award or the USQ KickOn Bursary - USQ Community Award (Previous name of this award) are not eligible to re-apply.

Applicants must:

• submit a personal statement (500 word maximum) answering the following question:    
  • How do you enrich the USQ Community through your participation in USQ community activities, and what have you personally gained through those activities?                    
• demonstrate involvement in the USQ Community in activities such as (but not limited to) the following:    
  • Student Representative on a USQ Academic or Governance Committee
  • Member of the Student Representative Committee
  • Student Representative on the USQ Student Guild Board 
  • Student Ambassador
  • Meet-up Leader
  • Resident Advisor (USQ Residential Colleges)
  • USQ Residential Colleges Mentor
  • USQ Student Club Member
  • Intervarsity sport competitions (e.g. Unisport Nationals) and Residential Shield

Please Note:  If an applicant holds other USQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection.

Application must be made via the USQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
