Is it right for me?

The success of a nurse is heavily reliant on their initiative to take responsibility and effective communication skills with patients. You will have the knowledge to answer patients’ questions and be able to cope in emergency situations.

  • Able to assume responsibility and a leadership role
  • Able to take initiative in emergencies
  • Tolerant, patient and tactful in dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to cope with the physical demands and psychological aspects of the job.

Professional Accreditation

Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing are eligible to apply for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and may also become members of the Royal College of Nursing Australia.

The Bachelor of Nursing at USQ is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and is listed as an approved program with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulating Authority (AHPRA).
