Overview

  • Expand your strategic thinking. Through industry representatives and experiential learning, you can use this business administration certificate to articulate into USQ’s Master of Business Administration (MBA). 
  • Add immediate value to your business by learning practical and innovative strategies to lead teams with a high-performing culture. 
  • USQ’s new fast-tracked teaching periods allow you to study two subjects at a time (full-time study). Each consecutive teaching period consists of eight weeks of online study and scenario-based learning. 
  • With full-time study, you can complete this graduate certificate within four months. Choose to study one subject at a time and finish within eight months. 

Further study

Once you successfully complete this degree, you can go on to study the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration or the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Entry requirements

  • Completion of an Australian university 3-year bachelor degree with a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 7.0, and a minimum of 1 year's professional work experience in business, or equivalent;
    or
  • completion of an Australian university 3-year bachelor degree, and a minimum of 1.5 year's professional work experience in business, or equivalent.

Applicants who have not completed a 3-year bachelor degree, but have a minimum of 5 years' professional work experience in business with at least 1 year's management or supervisory level experience, or equivalent, may apply for entry and be assessed on a case by case basis.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

To complete this degree students must complete 4 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 2 units per teaching period.
