Effective learning design and digital learning environments are at the heart of sound educational practices. USQ’s Graduate Certificate of Education (Digital Learning Environments) will help you develop your knowledge and skills in online and blended learning design.

Further Study

After completing the Graduate Certificate of Education (Digital Learning Environments) with a minimum GPA of 4.0, you will have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Education

If you do not achieve a GPA of 4.0, you may have the option to continue your studies with a Graduate Diploma of Education before moving on to a Master of Education (provided other program entry requirements are met). 

Note: This program does not qualify you for teacher registration in Queensland. To qualify for teacher registration in Queensland, please refer to the Master of Learning and Teaching.

The Graduate Certificate of Education (Digital Learning Environments) will enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers, lecturers and corporate professionals in the application of online education. It is particularly useful for anyone wishing to move into the fields of educational design, learning design, instructional design or development.

Entry Requirements

  • 3-year bachelor degree from an Australian university or equivalent.

English Language Requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Applying directly to USQ:

  • Semester 3, 2017 - applications close Monday 6 November, with semester 3 commencing on Monday 13 November 2017.
  • Semester 1, 2018 - applications close Monday 19 February, with semester 1 commencing on Monday 26 February 2018.
  • Semester 2, 2018 – applications close Monday 2 July, with semester 2 commencing on Monday 16 July 2018.

Credit for previous study or work experience

You may be eligible for credit if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
