Program Information Set
Excel in developing talented students
Aimed at educators and other professionals who design and implement programs to promote high achievement and talent development. USQ’s Gifted and Talented specialisation will introduce you to developmental aspects of giftedness for children and adults, and learn how to develop programs to foster high achievement in educational or work environments. You will also learn about how to create environments to encourage creativity and innovation.
After completing the Graduate Certificate of Education (Special Education) with a minimum GPA of 4.0, you will have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Education.
If you do not achieve a GPA of 4.0, you may have the option to continue your studies with a Graduate Diploma of Education before moving on to a Master of Education (provided other program entry requirements are met).
Note: This program does not qualify you for teacher registration in Queensland. To qualify for teacher registration in Queensland, please refer to the Master of Learning and Teaching.

English Language Requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
