Examine leadership issues in an educational context and implement them to create an innovative and adapting team. USQ’s Graduate Certificate in Education (Leading and Managing Educational Organisations) is ideal for aspiring leaders who work in schools and universities, as well as government, community and corporate settings which have an educational focus.

Study flexibility

After completing the Graduate Certificate of Education (Leading and Managing Educational Organisations) with a minimum GPA of 4.0, you will have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Education (Leading and Managing Educational Organisations)

If you do not achieve a GPA of 4.0, you may have the option to continue your studies with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Leading and Managing Educational Organisations) before moving on to a Master of Education (Leading and Managing Educational Organisations) (provided other program entry requirements are met). 

Note: This program does not qualify you for teacher registration in Queensland. To qualify for teacher registration in Queensland, please refer to the Master of Learning and Teaching.

Entry Requirements

  • 3-year bachelor degree from an Australian university or equivalent.

English Language Requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

  • Semester 1, 2018 - applications close Monday 19 February, with semester 1 commencing on Monday 26 February 2018.
  • Semester 2, 2018 – applications close Monday 2 July, with semester 2 commencing on Monday 16 July 2018.

Credit for previous study or work experience

You may be eligible for credit if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
