USQ's Graduate Certificate of Engineering Technology (Environmental Engineering) is ideal for engineers or scientists who have a three-year degree in science, engineering or technology and want to extend their knowledge of environmental engineering.
Through this four unit degree, you have the option to select from a range of courses (subjects) which will empower you to apply engineering solutions to the sustainable management of our environment. Courses include irrigation science, urban and regional planning and hydrology.
The Graduate Certificate of Engineering Technology is not accredited by any professional bodies, but is accredited by the University of Southern Queensland.
Environmental engineering at USQ provides you with the knowledge and skills to be an 'environmental problem-solver'. You could work in water and wastewater treatment, river hydrology, soil conservation, irrigation, salinisation, drainage, mine site rehabilitation, environmental studies, water resources engineering or soil science.

You may not have to pay your course (subject) fees upfront. HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP allows you to defer your fees until your income reaches a certain level.

English Language Requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

- Semester 2, 2019 - applications close Friday 19 July, with semester 2 commencing on Monday 15 July 2019.
- Semester 1, 2020 - applications close Friday 28 February, with semester 1 commencing on Monday 24 February 2020.
