  • USQ’s Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences and Associate Degree of Biomedical Sciences can be studied using a combination of online, external and on-campus study modes. It provides practical training with over 200 hours of laboratory-based experiences as well as opportunities to undertake external work placements.
  • If you aspire to study medicine, our Bachelor of Biomedical Science will give you broad knowledge to assist should you wish to undertake the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT), into medicine. The Biomedical Sciences degrees also provide foundation medical knowledge in the fields of physiology and pharmacology. 
  • USQ's $2.5 million teaching complex and laboratories will give you the opportunity to learn with up-to-date equipment in world-class facilities. The development of laboratory and research experience is paramount in both the Associate and Bachelor degrees of Biomedical Sciences and provides work-ready skills.

After successfully completing the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, you will be eligible to apply for membership to professional organisations including the Australian Society for Microbiology, Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Australian Society for Medical Research.
